Activities in Quebec

PEPS (Laval University sport center): PEPS features an outdoor stadium, an indoor stadium, indoor swimming pool, basketball and tennis courts, a fitness centre, a climbing wall, soccer fields and two ice hockey arenas that can be combined into one to host long track speed skating.

 

 

The Roger-Van-den-Hende botanical garden:The garden was founded in 1966 by professor Roger Van den Hende.  There are lots of different plants, Québec indigenous plants as well as plants from  Asia, America and Europe.  There are about 4,000 plants and cultivars in the garden.

 

 

Plains of Abraham: This park is  an historic place, it was the site of the famous battle of 1759, which changed the course of Canadian history between the french and british empires.  There are also many activities to do; a 1 mile track exclusively for in-line skating, walking paths, a nice garden and a view on the St-Lawrence river.

 

 

 

Tourism in Quebec

Old Quebec city: There are many commercial streets, of which the streets Saint-Jean, Saint-Louis, Sainte-Anne, De Buade et côte de la Fabrique.  There are also several places of lodging, shops, coffees and restaurants.  We can wlak on the Terrasse Dufferin, 671 meters long, face to St.Lawrence river and to many others walking paths.(Google map)

 

 

Montmorency falls: The highest fall in the province of Quebec, 84 meters (275 ft) high, can be view from several different persepectives from staircases or observation decks.  It is located  at 10 km east from quebec, right in front of the Island of Orleans. (Google map)

 

 
 

Wendake:Indian reserve Huron-Wendat the most economically active in Quebec.  There are the Kabir Kouba river all along a walking path.  It is a typic Wendat community. (Goolge map)

 
 

Ste-Foy shopping malls: The largest shopping center in Eastern Canada, with 350 stores, including 40 restaurants.  It is located at less than 2 km from Laval University.  (Google map)
